What is Modern Slavery?

Modern slavery relates to the exploitation or illegal ownership of an individual.  Our definition includes but is not limited to:  forced labour, human trafficking, debt bondage, child labour, and forced marriage.

The Modern Slavery Act 2015

The Modern Slavery Act 2015 makes it a criminal offence to hold another person in slavery or servitude, or to require another person to perform forced or compulsory labour.  It also makes it an offence to arrange or facilitate human trafficking.

Our Policy

VICTVS (the Company) has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking, the exploitation of individuals, and all forms of corruption and bribery associated with these activities.

VICTVS is committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking in all activities by acting with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships.  We implement effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own business or in our supply chain.

This policy applies to all persons working for VICTVS, or on our behalf in any capacity, including employees at all levels, directors, agency workers, interns, contractors and consultants.

Responsibility

VICTVS is committed to:

  • Rigorous employee and contractor checks completed at recruitment stage
  • Ongoing training of all persons working for or on behalf of the Company, including internal inspection and audit of contractors in all countries in which we work
  • Encouraging employees and contractors to report concerns or suspicions relating to modern slavery and providing necessary channels to report suspected breaches of this policy
  • Taking firm action against any individual(s) involved in modern slavery offences and assisting appropriate authorities in investigations

Breach of policy

Any employee who breaches this policy will face disciplinary action, which could result in dismissal for misconduct or gross misconduct.  VICTVS will report any illegal activity to the relevant local authorities and will support any subsequent investigations.

We will terminate our relationship with other individuals or organisations working on our behalf if they breach this policy.
